WHY CHOOSE A QUARTZITE OR GRANITE WORKTOP?

There are many reasons for choosing a natural stone worktop over one that has been engineered. Firstly, both granite and quartzite surfaces are long-lasting, highly durable, and easy to maintain. They are incredibly hard-wearing, resistant to heat, scratches, and stains, and have a luxurious appearance that can elevate the look of your home.

Furthermore, every quartzite or granite worktop features natural colour variations and a distinctive pattern, ensuring that whichever material you pick, your stone surface will be completely unique to you. Our granite and quartzite surfaces come in a wide range of colours, patterns, and graining, and are sealed for extra protection.

If you're unsure where to start, we are always on hand to help our customers choose the best material for their new kitchen worktop. Contact our team today for further guidance.

FAQ's

Granite has numerous advantages when used as a worktop material. As a hard natural stone, it is incredibly resistant to cracks, chips, and scratches. It is also able to cope with high temperatures and is less likely to be affected when coming into direct contact with hot pans. Granite worktops also have lower maintenance requirements compared to other surfaces, such as marble, especially if they are sealed.
The price you will pay depends on several factors, including the colour, edge profile and size of your worktop. At your initial appointment, we will discuss your project requirements in full. We’ll then aim to provide you with a fixed-price quote before the end of the next working day.
To begin the process, one of our professional templaters will visit your home to take detailed measurements. This is your opportunity to discuss the finer details of your project before we begin work on your surface(s). We’ll then create your design to match the templates supplied and will usually return to your home 5-10 days after templating to install your granite worktop.
You should clean your granite worktop regularly with warm water, pH-neutral soap, and a soft cleaner. Spills should be wiped up immediately after they occur, and you should avoid using abrasive, harsh chemicals when cleaning your surfaces. Resealing your granite surface once a year will also help to protect against damage and stains.
Although highly durable, granite is still susceptible to damage. To keep your worktop in pristine condition, you should take care to limit contact with heat sources, clear away spillages when they occur, and use chopping boards and trivets whenever possible. Granite worktops may also chip or crack if heavy objects are dropped onto them.
